St. Bartholomew’s Church in Łapanów was built in 1529 and then rebuilt after being damaged in 1614, with a new chapel also attached to the nave. The nave and chancel are covered with a common gable roof. On the edge of the nave and chancel there is a baroque bell turret with a lantern and onion dome. The interior has polychrome decoration carried out by Mecner and Wojciechowski in 1843. The late-baroque main altar with a painting of Madonna with Child is from 1873. The side altars also date from the C19th and the church contains C17th paintings of: Our Lady, The Transfiguration of Our Lord and St. Barbara. |
