| The Parish Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Podole was erected in the first half of the C16th and consecrated in around 1540. It is a late-gothic church, built using log construction with vertical boarding. The church interior is covered by flat coffered ceilings and decorated with renaissance figurative polychrome from 1542. The choir parapet contains planks from the original church ceiling with fragments of stenciled gothic painting from the first half of the C16th. On the rood beam is a sculpture of The Crucified Christ from the second quarter of the C16th. Precious fittings include altars with paintings of the saints, a late-gothic stone font from the first half of the C16th and a baroque pulpit. |
