The Auxiliary Church of St. John the Baptist in Rzepiennik Biskupi was erected at the beginning of the C16th, with the spire probably added on in the C17th. It is a late-gothic, log-construction church with shingled walls fastened by clamps. Beneath the choir there are planks that have been preserved from the old ceiling, with fragments of paintings of the patron saint. The church’s precious relics include: a gothic-renaissance triptych from the early C16th with sculptures of the saints: Peter, Paul, Stanisław and Christopher; a late-renaissance main altar and six sculptures from old C17th and C18th baroque altars. |
