The Vistula Ethnographic Park Museum in Wygiełzów is located at the foot of the Lipowiec castle. The first buildings were sited there in 1969. The open-air museum has been open to the public since 1973. 23 West Cracovian wooden buildings are set out over an area of 5 ha, all from land lying to the west of Kraków. The most important buildings are the C17th church from Ryczów and the C18th manor house from Drogina, which is an annual site for chamber music concerts. Other noteworthy exhibits are the original household objects, folk craft workshops and a school classroom. |
